At Dive Subculture Yangon, our instructor/guides team is international. The spoken languages are English, Malay and Indonesian. We also have a Burmese Translator.

To ensure your safety during your diving experience, as well as giving you the utmost comfort in  Myanmar Dive sites, we provide you the best quality equipment (Aqualung)

The equipment is included in all courses. However, it is not included in the Fun Dive Package. But you can rent it from us!

You can pay by Credit Card, Visa or Master Card (extra 3% bank fees). Upon confirmation we will send you a separate email with the link to pay a deposit.

Even with busy holiday plans, you must not board a flight right after a dive. For your safety, you have to wait at least 18 hours between your last dive and taking a flight. For more information, please contact us

If you are a certified diver, a medical certificate isn’t compulsory in Myanmar. You will sign a discharge of liability with the dive center and training organisation in which you state to be healthy.

When doing courses, you will always be asked to answer a medical questionnaire. If any answer is positive (YES), it is necessary to consult doctor before diving with us to obtain a certificate of ability to dive.

You do not need to be a strong swimmer in order to be able to do an introduction dive, however you need to be comfortable in water. For courses you are required to be able to swim 200m continuously and to float unassisted for 10 minutes.

It is your choice and YES it is a good idea to have your own insurance in the unlikely event of a problem from Scuba diving occurs. You need to check your insurance and see what it covers.

It’s possible but very unlikely. You and your instructor can easily check your air supply. Its like reading your dashboard on a car. 

As a beginner you will be close to your instructor. If you feel as such, just signal to your instructor and you will go together to the surface.

Our boats are equipped with first aid kits, oxygen, marine radio and life jackets.

 

On our boar we have free flow water, between our dives we serve tea/coffee and snacks. 

 

We recommend you bring a hat, sunglasses, a dry bag for your non waterproof items, and your camera to take pictures of your trip.

There are a few ATMs on Ngwe Saung, they are not reliable and does not always have cash. You can exchange foreign currency at your resort

Yes, SDI recommend you do a Scuba Refresher program if you have not dive in more that 6 months. The Scuba Review program is just the refresher you need to brush up on your knowledge and skills. 

Dive Subculture uses Aqua Lung as its main Equipments

Yes, If you have  your. own equipment and it is well maintained and service, you should bring it with you on your dive holiday.

 

It is always more fun to dive with familiar equipment.

Please carry Myanmar Kyat. (change of foreign currency in Myanmar can be difficult as they only accept crips US dollar notes

Be sure your passport has a minimum of more than 6 months validity and at least 2 blank visa pages for arrivals to Myanmar. Some countries require Visa on Arrival to be paid upon arrival in Myanmar, this is USD $50
