The first SDI/TDI Dive Centre in Myanmar, Dive Subculture chooses to be different.
We choose to value our customers, extend courtesies outside of normal standards. We choose to breathe life back into dive education, to pioneer new methods of teaching, and to push the envelope in terms of student safety and enjoyment. In doing so, we create life long divers. Our Founder
It is my belief that great work begins with true passion, and it is my passion where Dive Subculture was born. We seek adventure where others only dream. We are bound together by our love of the underwater world and our desire to protect it.
As an SDI 5 Star Dive Centre, we offer exceptional standards in customer service, safety and professionalism. We offer a complete range of SDI scuba diving courses including Discover Scuba Diving, Learn to Dive, Advanced Diver, Rescue Diver and Divemaster. Our dive centre offers a comfortable learning environment, modernized gas filling system (including air and Nitrox) and a full range of top quality rental equipment.
Dive Subculture is located in the heart of Yangon, at the same compound of the Royal British International School close to cafés and restaurants. We stock a full range of diving and snorkeling equipment from top brands like Xdeep, Aqua Lung, Hollis, Poseidon, Paralenz, Aqutec and Shearwater.

We offer the Discovery Scuba Package, perfectly adapted for your very first dive. It last one day, either in our pool or in Ngwe Saung
At Dive Subculture Yangon, our instructor/guides team is international. The spoken languages are English, Malay and Indonesian. We also have a Burmese Translator.
To ensure your safety during your diving experience, as well as giving you the utmost comfort in Myanmar Dive sites, we provide you the best quality equipment (Aqualung)
The equipment is included in all courses. However, it is not included in the Fun Dive Package. But you can rent it from us!
You can pay by Credit Card, Visa or Master Card (extra 3% bank fees). Upon confirmation we will send you a separate email with the link to pay a deposit.
You can also pay in Cash: USD or Myanmar Kyats – Central Bank Rate of the Day
Even with busy holiday plans, you must not board a flight right after a dive. For your safety, you have to wait at least 18 hours between your last dive and taking a flight. For more information, please contact us

If you are a certified diver, a medical certificate isn’t compulsory in Myanmar. You will sign a discharge of liability with the dive center and training organisation in which you state to be healthy.
When doing courses, you will always be asked to answer a medical questionnaire. If any answer is positive (YES), it is necessary to consult doctor before diving with us to obtain a certificate of ability to dive.
You do not need to be a strong swimmer in order to be able to do an introduction dive, however you need to be comfortable in water. For courses you are required to be able to swim 200m continuously and to float unassisted for 10 minutes.
It is your choice and YES it is a good idea to have your own insurance in the unlikely event of a problem from Scuba diving occurs. You need to check your insurance and see what it covers.
