Theory and Knowledge Component

At Dive Subculture Technical, the theory and knowledge section of the SSI Advanced Adventurer Course is designed to be flexible and engaging, divided into two parts:

• E-learning (from home)

• In-person Theory Class at the Resort

Through SSI’s online training platform, you can complete the academic portion at your own pace, fitting it into your schedule as needed. This interactive system introduces you to advanced diving concepts, such as navigation, deeper diving techniques, specialized equipment use, and safe dive planning. Videos, quizzes, and review exercises help reinforce your learning, ensuring you have the knowledge needed for more challenging dives.

After completing the e-learning modules, you’ll attend a Theory Session at our Dive Center, where our experienced instructors will answer any questions, expand on critical topics, and offer practical guidance for the upcoming dives. This preparation ensures you are confident and ready to apply your new skills in a variety of real-world diving scenarios. Working closely with DiverGems, Dive Subculture Technical offers high-quality training and memorable dive experiences, helping you advance your diving skills and embrace new underwater adventures.

No Confined Water Sessions – Straight to Open Water Adventures

The SSI Advanced Adventurer Course with Dive Subculture Technical doesn’t require confined water sessions, as it’s designed to expand the skills you gained during your Open Water certification. This course focuses on real-world, open water experiences, allowing you to dive directly into exciting environments like deeper sites, low-visibility conditions, and unique underwater landscapes.

With our personalized, small-group training and the expertise of DiverGems, you’ll have the opportunity to practice advanced techniques in natural dive settings, developing new skills through hands-on learning. Each dive builds on your previous experience, helping you become a more confident, versatile diver ready for even greater challenges.

Open Water Dives – Advancing Your Skills

At Dive Subculture Technical, the SSI Advanced Adventurer Course takes your diving to the next level by applying new skills directly in open water environments. With personalized guidance from our expert instructors and support from Diver Gems, you’ll develop confidence as you explore diverse dive sites and practice advanced techniques in real-world conditions.

During your open water sessions, you’ll experience a variety of specialty dives designed to build new skills and expand your comfort zone, such as:

• Navigating underwater with a compass
• Refining buoyancy control to hover effortlessly
• Executing proper ascent and descent techniques
• Exploring deeper dive sites beyond the beginner level
• Practicing buddy communication with hand signals
• Managing safety stops and monitoring dive computers
• Enhancing your awareness of marine life and environments

Each dive introduces new challenges and opportunities to apply what you’ve learned, from deeper depths to limited visibility. Our small instructor-to-student ratio ensures that you receive focused attention, helping you progress at your own pace while building the skills needed for future adventures.
